Job Overview
We are seeking a Director of Development Operations based in AIUSA headquarters in New York. This is a newly-created position, charged with managing all of the work that supports our various fundraising strategies. The Director will manage staff responsible for data systems, member services and gift processing.
Our fundraising team is responsible for $42M in revenue and over a million donor and activist records. We will look to the Director to work with the team to streamline processing and procedures, manage the donor database and ensure data integrity, and develop and manage business practices for processing all types of donations and gifts.
As part of her/his member services responsibility, the Director will manage the 800# vendor to ensure integrity of communications with members and general public to accurately reflect AI’s mission, policies and programs.
The position requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in direct response fundraising and database management, including development and oversight of expenses and income. It requires excellent database experience, communication skills and supervisory experience. The ideal candidate thinks strategically and has demonstrated ability to assess business needs and to manage multiple projects.
