Earth Share of Washington seeks a temporary part-time (10-15 hours/week) Campaign Assistant from September 2, 2008 to November 7, 2008 to assist with fall workplace giving campaigns.
Background
Earth Share of Washington (ESW) represents 66 environmental and conservation organizations, half of which call Washington home. ESW plays a vital role in promoting charitable giving, environmental education and volunteerism by partnering with area businesses and government agencies. ESW is funded largely by workplace giving donations from individuals and also plays a pivotal role as a communication and coordination nucleus for the Washington environmental community. The Campaign Assistant will be supervised by ESW's Campaign Manager and will help coordinate fall fundraising activities. Speaking to potential donors and conducting tabling events would comprise most of the Campaign Assistant’s work.
Key Responsibilities:
*Event Attendance: Attend 2-3 tabling and/or speaking events per week in the Puget Sound region, solo or alongside ESW member organization representatives.
*Managing campaign information: Track event information and interactions, collect campaign reports from member groups present at campaign events, and enter workplace contact and relationship information into database.
*Generating ideas for campaign development: Develop ideas to improve tabling opportunities and communication tools at campaign events.
Good presentation skills, an outgoing personality, and an interest in learning about workplace giving are a must, as are schedule flexibility and access to a vehicle.
Additional Qualifications:
Preferred consideration given to applicants with prior fundraising, speaking, or outreach experience.
