- Director of Intergovernmental Relations, Canada
The Gwich’in Tribal Council (GTC) is seeking a highly-motivated individual to fill the position of Director of Intergovernmental Relations.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Intergovernmental Relations is responsible for a broad and complex portfolio including the overall implementation of the Gwich’in Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement (GCLCA), leading the Gwich’in preparation for Self-Government, and acting as the senior liaison between GTC and all levels of Government.
The ideal applicant should have a Degree in Law, Public Administration, Policy, or a related field, as well as ten years of related experience. This experience would include policy development, consultation and stakeholder engagement, supervising staff, and working with Land Claim Agreements. Equivalences may be considered.
Salary is $105,000 plus a generous benefits package which includes allowances of $20,000 per annum as well as health, dental, short and long term disability, life insurance, and generous leave entitlements.
