Salary: £49,995 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
Number of Posts: 1 (or more if need arises)

The Role
Your job will be to support the work of MPs in the Chamber of the House of Commons and in Committees. You will have the opportunity to undertake a broad range of stimulating tasks, all of which in some way contribute to supporting MPs in fulfilling their parliamentary roles as constituency representatives, law makers and in holding government to account. You will get first-hand experience of working with politicians from all parties. You will be expected to act with integrity and complete political impartiality at all times, and although your views are your own and you can hold them, you will be restricted in the extent to which you can yourself engage publicly in political activity.
 
The Person
The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:
Ability to draft well-argued, evidence-based and impartial briefing material, and longer documents, which may be of a complex nature, to tight deadlines
Sound judgement, awareness of the political sensitivities which may arise when working with MPs
Some understanding of the constitutional role of Parliament and its relationship with Government and of the wider political context.
