- External Relations Associate , USA
Fractured Atlas is seeking a tech-savvy can-do type to join our External Relations team as a full-time Associate. The position provides administrative support for our fundraising, marketing, policy, and outreach efforts.
The position also assists the Chief External Relations Officer’s (CERO) efforts to steward relationships with key program officers, corporate executives, and government officials. The ideal candidate will have a burning passion for administrative tasks that keep the department humming along.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
This is how you will spend the bulk of your day:
Help to pull and manage lists; Process and acknowledge gifts; Support cultivation and stewardship of donors and prospects, including events, correspondence, and other communication.
Prepare and process acknowledgement letters to all donors of gifts of $1,000 or more.
Help produce member and donor cultivation events in collaboration with the External Relations and Programs teams nationally.
Support the CERO to manage annual Board solicitations.
Provide logistical and administration support for ad hoc programs, such as Artist Campaign School.
Here's some spice to change it up from time to time:
Help to pull and manage invitation and response lists for events.
Collaborate with External Relations Specialist to maintain electronic files for a paperless office.
Carry out special projects as they arise.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Previous experience in a support role for a nonprofit or for profit company.
Outstanding writing skills and a flawless attention to detail.
Exceptional verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment; ability to handle multiple projects and deliver an impeccable work product while adapting to frequent, rapid changes.
Self-motivated and hyper-organized with the ability to manage responsibilities independently while working with a small, tight-knit staff.
Facility and strong comfort level with fundraising databases.
Proficiency with Word, Excel, MailChimp, and experience with web-based software required.
Starting salary is $46,000. Benefits include dental and medical insurance, flexible savings account, employer‐contributed 401K plan, commuter benefits, professional development allowance, ticket allowance, paid vacation and sick days, paid parental and family leave, partially- or fully-remote work arrangements, and a casual but hard‐working, friendly and supportive work environment.
Our office is in New York City, but this position is open to being 100% remote. You can be anywhere in the United States that has a reliable internet connection. Because we are primarily based on the East Coast, you must be available to attend meetings during a 9AM-6PM EST window.
